about the author
Brian Scott Jarvis is a lifelong surfer, world traveler, former commercial fisherman, and merchant seaman who has spent most of his life on or near the ocean.
Born in New York City into an Air Force family, he grew up moving constantly-living in England, Hawaii, and everywhere in between. He began surfing in Hawaii in 1962 at age twelve and never really stopped, eventually surfing coastlines around the world.
- Brian’s life at sea took him through hurricanes, war zones, and some of the most polluted waters on Earth. Time Travel Is Real.com grew out of those experiences-part wild imagination, part hard truth, and part warning about where humanity is headed.
Time Travel Is Real.com is a genre-bending novel that refuses to stay in one lane. It’s science fiction, satire, adventure, and warning-all rolled into a fast-moving, unapologetic story about what happens when an ordinary guy discovers that time travel is not only real, but ridiculously easy.
After stumbling into the mysterious Dome of Time, Brian is introduced to Carl the First-the Keeper of Time, the Universe, and All Things-and is suddenly able to move freely through history. From there, the story jumps across eras and locations: D-Day at Omaha Beach, ancient worlds, dinosaurs on their last day, trips to the Moon and Mars, and moments that are funny, terrifying, and deeply human.
Beneath the humor and absurdity lies something much darker and very real. The book weaves in firsthand observations of war, environmental destruction, plastic-choked oceans, rising seas, and humanity’s alarming ability to ignore what’s happening right in front of us.
This is not a clean, polished time-travel fantasy. It’s messy, funny, uncomfortable, and honest. The story is meant to make you laugh-right up until it makes you stop and think.
Time Travel Is Real.com is written for readers who enjoy wild ideas, sharp edges, and stories that leave a mark long after the last page.
